PETGUGU M1 Pro review

The best-documented grooming kit here: 11,000 Pa of suction, a 2.5-liter bin, a stated noise figure and a warm-air dryer with three temperature steps, all in one 7-in-1 set.

What we take from it The kit to buy if you want to compare numbers rather than adjectives. It is not the quietest machine here, and everything else about it is documented.

What it is

A 7-in-1 grooming set built around a vacuum: clipper, paw trimmer, brushes and a warm-air dryer, all feeding into a 2.5-liter bin. PETGUGU quotes 11,000 Pa of suction over three levels, a noise figure under 62 dB, and hoses long enough to work on a standing dog.

Why the documentation matters

This family is sold on adjectives. Half the listings we read while composing this group published no figure at all, and the machines that did publish were immediately comparable — which is the point. Nothing here is remarkable on its own; taken together it is the most complete set of numbers at this price.

The dryer

A built-in warm-air stage with three temperature steps, running through its own hose. That removes the usual second appliance and its cable, and it is the feature that separates this from the cheaper kits.

Noise, honestly

Under 62 dB is PETGUGU’s figure, and it is louder than the clippers on this page — the oneisall Pro quotes under 49 dB, the metal-comb version 55 dB. A grooming vacuum is a vacuum, and vacuums are loud. Start on the lowest suction step and let the animal hear it before it touches them.

What we rate, and what we flag up

Strengths

  • Publishes every figure that matters in this family — suction, noise, bin, hose lengths
  • The dryer is built in, which removes a second appliance from the bathroom floor
  • A 2.5 L bin is genuinely large for a grooming vacuum
  • Two-year warranty stated on the listing

Compromises

  • 62 dB is not quiet for a machine held against a nervous dog — the quietest clippers here are under 50 dB
  • Four guide combs only, and none longer than 12 mm (0.47 in)
  • Not sold on Amazon US at the time of checking

The questions owners ask

Is 11,000 Pa enough?

It is mid-range for this family: the oneisall kit below quotes 12,000 Pa at its top setting, the entry machines around 4,000. What matters more is that the figure is quoted at all, and that you use the lowest setting that still collects hair — suction is what frightens animals, not sharpness.

What is the dryer for?

Drying a coat after a bath with warm air rather than a household hairdryer, at one of three temperature steps. Keep it moving and never hold it on one spot — and follow PETGUGU’s instructions on the temperature setting, because a coat traps heat against skin you cannot see.

How long are the hoses?

PETGUGU gives 2.5 m (8 ft) of mains cable, a 1.5 m (5 ft) suction hose and an air hose adjustable between 0.5 and 1.5 m (5 ft). That is enough to leave the body of the machine on the floor while working on a large dog standing on a table.
