Portions that do not depend on your evening · review
TinorPhrix DF002 16 L review
A 16-liter stainless dispenser for large dogs, with four feeding times of 1 to 99 seconds each, mountable on a wall or standing on the floor. It is the only feeder here built for a big animal.
What we take from it The right machine for a big dog and the wrong one for a cat. Buy it for the capacity and the stainless; budget one evening to calibrate it.
What it is
A 16-liter stainless dispenser with four programmable feeding times, each
dispensing for between 1 and 99 seconds. It stands on the floor or bolts to a
wall.
Sized for an animal that eats
Every other feeder in this group tops out around 4 liters, which is a cat’s
two weeks or a large dog’s two days. Sixteen liters is 10 to 15 days for a big
dog on TinorPhrix’s figure, and that is the difference between a machine that
helps and a machine that runs out on the Saturday.
Time instead of portions
Dispensing is set by duration. That is unusual and, for large kibble, better:
portion counters are calibrated for small pieces and become inaccurate on big
ones, while a duration simply lets more or less fall through. The price is one
calibration — run a feed, weigh the result, set the seconds.
Stainless, not galvanized
TinorPhrix draws the comparison itself and it is the right one. Galvanized
hoppers fail at the seams once damp food has sat against them; stainless does
not. On a fixture that will hold food for years, that is what you are paying
for.

Compromises
The most expensive machine in this group, by a distance
Duration-based dispensing needs calibrating with your own kibble

The questions owners ask
How do I set portions if it dispenses by time?
By measuring once. Run a single feed of a known duration into a bowl, weigh what comes out, and work back to the number of seconds your dog’s ration needs. Duration-based dispensers are more tolerant of large kibble than portion counters, at the cost of that one calibration.
Why does stainless matter on a feeder?
Because food is slightly acidic and hoppers live in damp rooms. TinorPhrix contrasts stainless with galvanized and claims three to four times the life; the underlying point is sound — galvanized coatings fail at the seams, and a rusting hopper is a scrapped hopper.
Wall or floor?
Wall, if the wall allows it. A floor-standing hopper full of food is exactly what a large dog will lean on, and the bolts come in the box. On a rented wall, the floor setting is the compromise — put it somewhere it cannot be tipped.

Five stainless bowls of 330 g (11.6 oz) on a digital timer, with two ice packs and a tamper-resistant lid. It is the wet-food feeder for an absence longer than a day.
Best for: A weekend away with a cat on wet food, or a cat fed several small meals a day for medical reasons a vet has set.
