Fountains run continuously but at a few watts; litter boxes draw power only during a cycle; the heavy consumers are the dryers, and they run for minutes rather than hours.
The continuous loads are small and the large loads are brief.
Fountains
A small pump running all day. The consumption is modest and it is the price of the water moving; switching it off at night defeats the purpose.
Litter boxes
Idle almost all the time, drawing power for a cycle of a minute or two after each visit.
Feeders
Effectively nothing, plus a backup battery.
Dryers
The largest figure in the catalog — one is 3,200 W — but running for fifteen minutes after a bath rather than continuously.
Cameras and trackers
Trickle loads. A tracker’s cost is its subscription, not its charging.
This does not replace your device’s manual. Blade temperatures, locking mechanisms and cleaning procedures differ from model to model, and the manufacturer’s instructions take precedence over anything written here. Unplug a device before dismantling it, check a hot blade or an air nozzle against your own hand before it goes anywhere near an animal, and keep a mechanism that closes or rotates under supervision until you know how it behaves.
