MINDPET-MED Digital pet scale review
A precision scale for small animals: up to 30 kg (66.1 lb) with an accuracy of about 2 grams, a 60-centimeter tray and an automatic hold for animals that will not stand still.
What we take from it The right scale for small animals, and the accuracy is what you are paying for. Look at the ADE below if your dog is large.
What it is
A digital pet scale reading up to 30 kg (66.1 lb) with an accuracy MINDPET-MED gives as
±2 g (0.1 oz), a one-piece tray up to 60 cm (23.6 in) long, unit switching and an automatic hold
function.
Precision is the whole point
A bathroom scale rounds to a hundred grams and is useless for a cat. Two grams
resolves the change in a kitten from one day to the next, and it turns a
subjective “she looks thinner” into a line on a chart. That is the entire
argument for owning a pet scale rather than improvising.
The hold function
Animals step on and step off. A scale that only shows a live number gives you
nothing; one that locks the reading as soon as the load is stable gives you a
figure from a two-second visit. Every usable pet scale has this, and it is the
first thing to check on a cheaper one.
Its ceiling
30 kg (66.1 lb). That covers every cat and most small dogs, and stops well short of a
labrador. The ADE platform on this page is the answer there.

The questions owners ask
Why does 2-gram accuracy matter?
On a 400-gram kitten it is the difference between a growth curve and a guess. On a 5-kilogram cat it lets you see a trend over weeks that a bathroom scale rounds away. What the trend means is a question for a vet — the scale’s job is to make it visible.
How do you weigh an animal that will not sit still?
The hold function: it locks the reading once the load settles, so a cat that steps off immediately still leaves a number behind. Failing that, weigh yourself, then yourself holding the animal — accurate to a few hundred grams, which is fine for a dog and useless for a kitten.
Is it a medical device?
No, and neither is anything else on this page. It is a scale. If a weight is falling and you do not know why, the next step is an appointment, not another measurement.

Up to 100 kg (220.5 lb) · 80 × 60 cm (31.5 × 23.6 in) wooden platform · 3.1 cm (1.2 in) high · 3.4 kg (7.5 lb)
A large flat platform scale: 80 × 60 cm (31.5 × 23.6 in), 3.1 centimeters high, for dogs up to 100 kg (220.5 lb) and 80 cm (31.5 in) of back length. Low enough that a dog steps on rather than climbs.
Best for: Large dogs, breeders, and anyone tracking a weight-loss program a vet has set.
Up to 15 kg (33.1 lb) · four weighing modes · ABS · backlit LCD
The cheapest scale here: up to 15 kg (33.1 lb) with four weighing modes, an ABS body and a backlit display. It is the entry point for weighing a cat at home.
Best for: One cat, one kitchen, and a weight you want to check monthly rather than track to the gram.
Up to 40 kg (88.2 lb) · 10 g (0.4 oz) steps · 56 × 33 cm (22 × 13 in) ABS platform
A mid-sized scale in the shape veterinary practices use: 56 × 33 cm (22 × 13 in) of ABS platform, up to 40 kg (88.2 lb) in 10-gram steps, with a large LCD.
Best for: Multi-animal households: one scale that handles cats and medium dogs without being a piece of furniture.
