The bottom line Worth it only for the reason it exists: knowing which of several cats is doing what. If you have one cat, the Pura Max 2 does the same cleaning for a great deal less, and the camera adds nothing you will use.
PETKIT’s flagship drum box with a camera in it. A 1080p sensor with a 210° field of view and night vision watches the drum, and the app attributes each visit to a named cat using face recognition and weight together.
In a home with one cat, every automatic box already knows whose data it is recording. In a home with three, a plain weight sensor guesses, and guesses wrongly whenever two cats are of similar build. That is the entire argument for this machine, and it is a real one — but it is the only argument, and it costs several hundred euros.
An 8-litre waste bin with a drawstring closure that seals the bag before it is lifted out, up to 15 days for a single cat, a triple filter, 12 sensors with anti-pinch protection, and a noise figure of 35 to 45 dB. The entry is stated as 43% larger than the previous PUROBOT Max Pro, which is the specification that matters if your cat is long or heavy.
We checked the reference on each market rather than assuming the European catalogue is uniform. It is listed in Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Spain, and was not listed on Amazon US when we checked.
It is a network camera in a room of your home, tied to an account. That is a reasonable trade for per-cat data if you need it, and a poor one if you do not. The same carpet restriction as the Pura Max 2 applies: level hard floor, or the sensors misbehave.

PETKIT states it combines face recognition with weight measurement to attribute each visit. In a two-cat home that is the difference between a useful log and a meaningless one — a plain weight sensor cannot separate two cats of similar build, and this is the mechanism designed to.
PETKIT says the app analyses clumps and stools so that stomach or urinary problems can be noticed early. Read that as a prompt, not a finding: what the camera produces is an observation to take to a vet, and nothing on this site — or in that app — is a diagnosis.
