PetTec

Sells "no subscription trap" as a feature, and it is one

PetTec is a German brand selling pet cameras against a market dominated by subscription models.

What we found writing the reviews

The subscription position is the product. The Cam Lite listing says, in capitals, that there is no subscription trap. In a family where recording, history and detection normally sit behind a plan, that sentence is the difference between two five-year costs — and it is why a 3 MP camera earns a place next to a Furbo.

The combination machine is a genuine trade, not a gimmick. A camera built into a feeder saves a plug and a shelf, and it fails as a pair: the camera is most useful precisely when the feeding has gone wrong. Our review says both things.

The listings are thin on numbers, like most of this family. Dimensions and sensor resolution are published; field of view and treat sizes are not.

Availability

Both cameras are listed on five markets. The US store was missing on both when we checked.
