SureFlap

One product, done properly, and an ecosystem behind it

SureFlap makes microchip flaps, and effectively nothing else. Four of them are reviewed here, from the plain battery-powered flap to the large Connect pet door.

What we found writing the reviews

The range is honestly organized. The differences between models are size, app connectivity and curfew — not a ladder of arbitrary features. That makes choosing straightforward in a way this niche rarely is: decide whether you need a big opening and whether you want a schedule, and the model follows.

The fitting parts are where the budget goes. Tunnel extenders are 50 mm each and proprietary; a masonry wall needs several. None of them come with the flap. Anyone comparing SureFlap against a cheaper flap should add the tunnel before comparing.

The collar tag is the quiet answer to the one real failure. Microchip doors depend on reading a chip that may have migrated. A tag costs a tenth of a new door and solves most of those cases — and SureFlap sells it rather than pretending the problem does not exist.

Availability

The four doors carry a single reference across all six of our markets, which is the best coverage anywhere on this site. Consumables are listed under both “SureFlap” and “Sure Petcare” depending on the item.
