Take the X1 if you have two or more cats and the floor space: the sealed 8-litre bin and the widest litter list here, including plant litters, are what a busy household needs.
Take the Thereye as a first automatic box. It is cheaper, quieter on the published figures, open-topped, and its adjustable delay is a safety margin the Redkey fixes in firmware.
Not strictly — both are manufacturer measurements taken their own way. A 15 dB gap between published figures is large enough to take seriously as an indication, and neither number is independent.
